The 2024 Special Santa Event for children is coming back to Santa’s Workshop a Journey Church in Urbandale! You can register for a personal visit for your family with Santa between 1-4pm on Saturday, December 7th. Santa and his elves will spend time with each child and family in a quiet environment. Your child's visit with Santa is completely free. We want all children to experience the Joy of Christmas and our hope is that you and your family will feel God's love during this time.

Special Santa Event takes place at Journey Church (4409 121 st Street, Urbandale, IA 50323) on Saturday, December 7th , from 1-4 pm.

This event is FREE!

Absolutely! Each visit is scheduled for approximately 5-10 minutes with Santa. You can use the time in the best way for your family, including family pics with Santa!

Children who are registered for the event through our website will be given first priority for Santa visits. If there are times available on the actual day of the event, we notify people on our Special Santa Facebook page.

This event is specifically set up for individuals with special needs, regardless of age, if you would have fun saying hello to Santa, this day is for you!

This event has been created by Journey Church out of a desire to make Des Moines a better place. Journey Church wants to display Christ’s love in a way that people can feel and touch. This event is not a promotion or something to attract attention, but is to love on children with special needs and their families.
